About Banana Kush

A cross of Ghost OG and Skunk Haze, Banana Kush is a cross-bred hybrid. The effects people mention most are feeling talkative, sleepy and giggly.

THC and potency

Across 30 public lab tests of Banana Kush flower between 2020 and 2023, the median result was 20.9% total THC, with half of all samples falling between 18.9% and 22.7%. CBD is typically negligible (under 0.5%). That is in line with most flower on Canadian shelves. Potency varies by grower and batch, so always check the label.

Aroma, flavour and terpenes

In lab tests its dominant terpene is myrcene, followed by caryophyllene and limonene. Myrcene is known for earthy, musky notes with a ripe-fruit edge, while caryophyllene adds black pepper and warm spice. Total terpene content measured a median of 1.7%. On the palate, people pick out tree fruit, tropical and sweet.

Reported effects

Beyond feeling talkative, reviewers also mention feeling hungry and euphoric. Some consumers say they reach for it when dealing with stress, anxiety and pain. The side effects mentioned most are dry mouth, dry eyes and dizziness. These are personal reports, not medical advice.
