Carmel Cannabis

Long, mossy green buds with bright orange hairs have a strong aroma of gas, backed by flavours of lemon and cake.

Bred by Seed Junky Genetics in California, Animal Face is an ultra-potent, flavourful sativa dominant hybrid created through crossing the Face Off OG clone and Animal Mints male. Our version of Animal Face was selected out of 100 different phenos, not only for its high potency and terpene profile, but also because of its unique flavours of lemon and cake.
Because it’s just the right thing to do, all our flower is hang dried, hand trimmed, slow cold cured, and hand packaged. We believe fresh and terpy is best, so all our flower is packaged in a nitrogen flushed pouch that features a perfect airtight seal.
Non irradiated, obviously.

About Animal Mints

A cross of Animal Cookies and SinMint Cookies, Animal Mints is a cross-bred hybrid. You may also see it sold as Animal Mintz. The effects people mention most are feeling relaxed, hungry and sleepy.

THC and potency

Public lab results give a good picture of its strength: 348 flower samples tested between 2020 and 2024 came in at a median of 20.7% total THC (the middle half ranged from 18% to 23.3%). CBD is typically negligible (under 0.5%). That is in line with most flower on Canadian shelves. Potency varies by grower and batch, so always check the label.

Aroma, flavour and terpenes

In lab tests its dominant terpene is caryophyllene, followed by limonene and linalool. Caryophyllene is known for black pepper and warm spice, while limonene adds bright citrus-peel freshness. Total terpene content measured a median of 1.1%. Consumers most often describe the flavour as mint, menthol and apple.

Reported effects

Beyond feeling relaxed, reviewers also mention feeling giggly. Some consumers say they reach for it when dealing with anxiety, stress and pain. The side effects mentioned most are paranoia, headaches and anxiety. These are personal reports, not medical advice.

Animal Mints in Canada

Our Canadian catalogue lists 5 products made with Animal Mints, mostly flower and pre-rolls, from brands including Back Forty, Carmel Cannabis, High Street Cannabis and Next Friday.
