About Runtz

Runtz is a hybrid strain that comes from a cross of The Original Z with Gelato. You may also see it sold as Runtz OG, Gelato Zkittlez. People who try it most often describe feeling talkative, happy and giggly.

THC and potency

Across 814 public lab tests of Runtz flower between 2020 and 2024, the median result was 23.5% total THC, with half of all samples falling between 21% and 25.9%. CBD is typically negligible (under 0.5%). That is in line with most flower on Canadian shelves. Potency varies by grower and batch, so always check the label.

Aroma, flavour and terpenes

In lab tests its dominant terpene is caryophyllene, followed by limonene and linalool. Caryophyllene is known for black pepper and warm spice, while limonene adds bright citrus-peel freshness. Total terpene content measured a median of 1.9%. On the palate, people pick out sweet, tree fruit and berry.

Reported effects

Beyond feeling talkative, reviewers also mention feeling uplifted and euphoric. Some consumers say they reach for it when dealing with anxiety, stress and depression. The side effects mentioned most are anxiety, headaches and dizziness. These are personal reports, not medical advice.
