About Animal Cookies

Animal Cookies is a hybrid strain. You may also see it sold as Animal Crackers. People who try it most often describe feeling relaxed, sleepy and hungry.

THC and potency

Public lab results give a good picture of its strength: 140 flower samples tested between 2020 and 2024 came in at a median of 21.3% total THC (the middle half ranged from 16.8% to 24%). CBD is typically negligible (under 0.5%). That is in line with most flower on Canadian shelves. Potency varies by grower and batch, so always check the label.

Aroma, flavour and terpenes

In lab tests its dominant terpene is myrcene, followed by caryophyllene and limonene. Myrcene is known for earthy, musky notes with a ripe-fruit edge, while caryophyllene adds black pepper and warm spice. Total terpene content measured a median of 1.4%. Consumers most often describe the flavour as sweet, pungent and earthy.

Reported effects

Beyond feeling relaxed, reviewers also mention feeling euphoric and tingly. Some consumers say they reach for it when dealing with stress, pain and anxiety. The side effects mentioned most are dry mouth, paranoia and dry eyes. These are personal reports, not medical advice.

We want our customers to be able to sit back and relax so every batch is compliant and thoroughly tested through DEA registered labs. My name is Granger Cannon and I started this company because I’ve always been on a quest for the highest quality cannabis that I could find. Through the years, I was never satisfied with the inconsistency or the quality of the products the market had to offer. I found that in order to have the best you have to grow the best, and in order to grow the best you must have extensive knowledge and experience in cannabis horticulture. That learning process starting for me in 2007 and in 2016 I graduated in the field of Cannabis Horticulture from Oaksterdam University in Oakland, California. In May 2020 Cannon Cannabis was founded and we’re making history.
