About Mochi

A cross of Sherbert and Thin Mint, Mochi is a cross-bred hybrid. You may also see it sold as Gelato 47, Mochi Gelato. The effects people mention most are feeling sleepy, relaxed and hungry.

THC and potency

Public lab results give a good picture of its strength: 112 flower samples tested between 2021 and 2023 came in at a median of 18% total THC (the middle half ranged from 16.4% to 20.3%). CBD is typically negligible (under 0.5%). That is in line with most flower on Canadian shelves. Potency varies by grower and batch, so always check the label.

Aroma, flavour and terpenes

In lab tests its dominant terpene is limonene, followed by caryophyllene and linalool. Limonene is known for bright citrus-peel freshness, while caryophyllene adds black pepper and warm spice. Total terpene content measured a median of 1.5%. Consumers most often describe the flavour as mint, vanilla and flowery.

Reported effects

Beyond feeling sleepy, reviewers also mention feeling giggly. Some consumers say they reach for it when dealing with anxiety, insomnia and stress. The side effects mentioned most are anxiety, paranoia and dry eyes. These are personal reports, not medical advice.
