Chernobyl is a hybrid bred from Trainwreck and Jack the Ripper. Reviews most often mention feeling energetic, uplifted and creative.
Public lab results give a good picture of its strength: 121 flower samples tested between 2020 and 2023 came in at a median of 17.9% total THC (the middle half ranged from 15.5% to 19.3%). CBD is typically negligible (under 0.5%). That is in line with most flower on Canadian shelves. Potency varies by grower and batch, so always check the label.
In lab tests its dominant terpene is terpinolene, followed by myrcene and pinene. Terpinolene is known for fresh, herbal brightness with hints of pine and flowers, while myrcene adds earthy, musky notes with a ripe-fruit edge. Total terpene content measured a median of 1.1%. Consumers most often describe the flavour as lime, lemon and citrus.
Beyond feeling energetic, reviewers also mention feeling focused and talkative. Some consumers say they reach for it when dealing with stress, depression and pain. The side effects mentioned most are dry eyes, dry mouth and paranoia. These are personal reports, not medical advice.
Parents: Trainwreck and Jack the Ripper. Chernobyl is also a parent of Duke Nukem, CherWillie, Slymeball and Phoenix Lights.
