Double OG is an indica variety. You may also see it sold as Double OG Kush. The effects people mention most are feeling sleepy, relaxed and euphoric.
Public lab results give a good picture of its strength: 49 flower samples tested between 2021 and 2023 came in at a median of 19.1% total THC (the middle half ranged from 12% to 23.7%). CBD is typically negligible (under 0.5%). That is in line with most flower on Canadian shelves. Potency varies by grower and batch, so always check the label.
In lab tests its dominant terpene is myrcene, followed by caryophyllene and limonene. Myrcene is known for earthy, musky notes with a ripe-fruit edge, while caryophyllene adds black pepper and warm spice. Total terpene content measured a median of 1.8%. Consumers most often describe the flavour as skunk, sage and violet.
Beyond feeling sleepy, reviewers also mention feeling aroused and giggly. Some consumers say they reach for it when dealing with anxiety, insomnia and pain. The side effects mentioned most are dizziness, dry mouth and anxiety. These are personal reports, not medical advice.
Double OG is also a parent of Rae Bae.
